Welcome back Phoebe families,
I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. We are looking forward to the 20-21 school year.
I would like to share with you the student materials and Chromebook distribution plan, final yearbook pick-up date, and class placement list information. I want to assure you that every appropriate precaution will be taken to follow CDC, SCPH, and SIA recommendations so that student distributions will be done in a safe manner. All staff will be wearing recommended PPE.
As we did during our materials and Chromebook distribution last spring, our plan is to distribute student materials to families through drive-up stations at the front entrance of the school. If you are planning to walk up, we will be strictly applying physical distancing guidelines in order to keep everyone safe and healthy. Staff will have your student’s belongings at the front of the school ready to hand to you when you drive up. We strongly encourage you to wear a cloth face covering to protect yourselves and others during the distribution.
Grade and time/day distribution window is as follows:
Kindergarten – August 25th
9:00-10:00am: Nazari & Watson.
10:00-11:00am: Corcoran & Relles
Grades 1st-6th – August 27th
1st-2nd grade: 8:30-9:30am
3rd- 4th grade: 10:00-11:00am
5th -6th grade: 11:30-12:30pm
Please do not come before your window, as your child’s materials will not be prepared for pick-up until your specified time.
Also, if you have any materials that need to be checked in from last year, please bring them with you next week. We will be collecting them in tubs at the front of the school. We will do our best to ensure that this process runs smoothly. We would ask that you adhere to social distancing protocols and please wear a face mask to keep all safe and healthy.
We will have one last yearbook pick-up on Wednesday, August 26th at 10:00am.
Class placement lists will go out district-wide on Friday, August 21st. Please check your email for information on accessing the lists. **Please check your spam folder – recently Gmail and other providers have started sending SCUSD emails to spam.**
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the office at 916-395-4685. Once again, thank you for your time and attention tonight and for your patience next week. I look forward to seeing you next week.
