Good afternoon Phoebe families,
I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well.
I would like to share the plan with you and assure you that every appropriate precaution will be taken to follow CDC, SCPH, and SIA recommendations, as well as the Governor’s Executive Order, so that student distributions will be done in a safe manner.
As we did during our Chromebook distribution, our plan is to distribute to families through drive-up stations at the front entrance of the school. If you are planning to walk up, we will be strictly applying physical distancing guidelines in order to keep everyone safe and healthy, which means waiting at least six feet away from the person in front of you. Staff will have your student’s belongings at the front of the school ready to hand to you when you drive up. We strongly encourage you to wear a cloth face covering to protect yourselves and others during the distribution.
All staff will be wearing recommended cloth face covering and gloves and will have used the CDC Self-Checker guide to certify that they are without Coronavirus symptoms.
To allow our teachers to safely access campus for the purposes of delivering student belongings, and allow for the sanitizing of common spaces afterward, teachers will be coming to school next week at staggered intervals and the distribution schedule will reflect this. Please listen carefully for the name of your child’s teacher and time/day distribution window:
Friday, June 5th: 9:30-10:30am Warren, Butterfield, Robello, Dighero
Monday, June 8th: 9:00-10:00am Corcoran, Nazari, Watson, Relles, Davis, Vancil, Healy, Lozano
Monday, June 8th: 10:30-11:30am Cluff, Wagner, Ching, Martinez,
Tuesday, June 9th: 9:00-10:00am Lewandowski, White, Iliff
Tuesday, June 9th: 10:30-11:30am Goul, Frasier, Harris
Wednesday, June 10th: 10:00-10:30am (Last name A-M) 10:30-11:00am (Last name N-Z) Henrikson, Rupert, Meyer
We are also offering a makeup day on Thursday, June 11th between 10:00am and 11:00am, should you be unable to attend your time slot.
Please do not come before your window, as your child’s teacher will not have had the opportunity to be on campus to get student belongings ready for distribution. If you have multiple children that attend Phoebe and would like to pick up all items during your oldest child’s pick-up window, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know.
Also, remember to bring your child’s library books with you next week. We will be collecting them in tubs at the front of the school.
We are still waiting on the arrival of our yearbooks. We are hoping to distribute those during the last week of school.
We will do our best to ensure that this process runs smoothly. We would ask that you adhere to socially distancing protocols and please wear a face mask to keep all safe and healthy.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me at email@example.com.
Please note that we are NOT collecting Chromebooks (unless your student/s is/are disenrolling from our school). If you are disenrolling from our school, please have your Chromebook ready for return. Staff will collect the Chromebook from you through your car window. If you are a 6th grader, you will be allowed to maintain possession of your Chromebook for the summer and 7th grade at your new middle school.
Once again, thank you for your time and attention and for your patience next week. I look forward to seeing you next week.
