Phoebe Updates (distance learning, Chromebooks)

Hello Phoebe families,

I am hoping this message finds you well and safe.  I wanted to give you an update about the correspondence that was sent out by the district last night.

In the next coming days our teachers will be engaging in professional learning opportunities associated with distance learning.  This professional learning has become their top priority to ensure that they are ready when we launch distance learning on April 13th. You may see a decrease in the amount of enrichment activities posted by teachers in the coming days.  Please know that we are all working toward a common goal to create robust learning plans for our students.

We have had many families express that they would need their child to check out a Chromebook to take home to facilitate distance learning.  We are still working through the process to make sure all Chromebooks are disinfected and ready for student check-out.  When the time comes, you will receive a call from your child’s teacher scheduling a drive-thru pick up of the device at the front of the school.  We are hoping that will be soon.

As always, please call or email me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you and be well.
