Science Night

Categories: Blog,PTO

Hello Parents,

We are so excited for Science Night! It is coming up soon, on Friday, March 1st from 6-8 pm. We will have lots of fun exhibits this year including both US and CA Fish & Wildlife, St. Francis Robotics, Tiger Salamanders, My Planet, the Herpetological Society and their reptiles, and the SVAS telescopes. We would love to have a few more exhibits, especially a geologist, a physician/surgeon, an environmental scientist, and an entomologist. Anyone who has an expertise in these areas and would like to set up a booth, please contact Jennifer Toone at snklfrtz1@gmail.com. We would love to have you!

We are also in need of 10 more “master scientists” to run experiments with the kids. This does not require a background in science, just a willingness to help the kids with some pre-planned experiments. We need 4 more people to help with setup from 4-6 pm and 6 more people to help with cleanup from 8-9 pm. We also need 10-20 dozen chocolate chip cookies to sell. They can be homemade or store bought, but they need to be chocolate chip only, no nuts. These should be brought to the school the morning of Science Night, Friday, March 1st. If you would like to help with one of these things, please let us know by emailing Jennifer (snklfrtz1@gmail.com). If you have already sent in a paper indicating what you would like to do to help, please do not email us. You will be receiving an email on Monday, February 25th letting you know what your assignment is.

Thanks everyone for your help!
